In early April, Cherry trees blossomed in Tokyo, signaling the arrival of spring. I found this year's cherry blossom festival particularly meaningful to me and to the country that is still struggling to recover from its worst earthquake in history and a nuclear crisis. All pictures were taken between April 9-11, 2011, one month after the quake.
